What did they do? They missed the apostrophe from the word "chef's".
Why is this wrong? The word "chefs" is merely the plural of chef - a straightforward noun with no relation at all to the word "specials". The apostrophe is required to put the "chef" or even "chefs" (if there are more than one) into the genitive - i.e. to make some statement of ownership.
This error is forgivable since convention in signwriting is to omit punctuation altogether. I would have been mortified to see "special's" as you would normally find in apostrophell!
