Walking past Asda's improvements notice board (Gosforth Store, September 2000), I discovered that they would be fulfilling a request for more trolley's [sic]. Luckily this was a dry-wipe marker-pen board.

They had violated the golden rule: The apostrophe is not required to make a normal word into its plural

My action: I wiped the offending apostrophe off the board as I went past.
